Learn the basics

Extensions and plugins

There are several ways to connect FEM-Design with other software. We provide direct links via our plugins (Revit and Tekla) and we support open BIM formats (.ifc and .saf). FEM-Design comes also with an application programming interface (API) which can be used for parametric design and task automation. On top of that, we provide additional tools that use FEM-Design models to perform additional operations.

StruXML Revit Add-In A tool that creates two - directional direct link between Revit and FEM-Design.   See: StruSoft StruXML Revit Add-In
Tekla Tools A set of free tools that creates a direct link between FEM-Design and Tekla Structures.   See: Tekla Tools
IFC file format FEM-Design can import and export models in IFC format.   See: Industry Foundation Classes (IFC)
SAF file format FEM-Design can import structural analysis models in SAF format.   See: Structural Analysis Model Sharing (SAF)
API solutions FEM-Design provides several API solutions to accommodate different user scenarios.   See: Introduction to API
PREFAB An extension to FEM-design that creates reliable report to the precast concrete suppliers.   See: PREFAB
